FSM-200 won the team's first ever Carroll Smith Award for innovative design. A highly prestigious and seldom awarded recognition for excellence in engineering.
The team achieved first place in Engineering Design at the 2003 FSAE-A competition, and after a DNF in Endurance even finished 13th overall.
The third generation of UWAM's vehicle was also the first car that the team took International; to the world championships in Michigan in May, 2004.
There it again won the Carroll Smith Award, and the team achieved a highly impressive 1st place in Engineering Design and 13th place overall in the field of 134 International universities competing from around the globe.
